LGS Global Founder Avinash Rachmale Gifts $1M for Scholarships

On May 1, more than 70 people attended a dinner at a private residence in Oakland County where Detroit-based LGC Global founder and CEO Avinash Rachmale gifted $1 million to Wayne State University’s College of Engineering. The funds will be used to establish an endowment to provide full tuition scholarships to Detroit Public Schools Community District students.

Oxford Kids Foundation 8th Annual Gala

The Oxford Kids Foundation hosted its eighth Annual Gala on May 5 at the Orchard Lake Country Club in West Bloomfield Township. More than 200 guests enjoyed dinner, entertainment, and silent and live auctions. The foundation provides financial assistance to children to receive alternative therapies and medical care not covered by insurance.

Detroit Yacht Club Foundation Sixth Anniversary Gala

More than 300 guests attended the Detroit Yacht Club’s Sixth Anniversary Gala on May 4, which included a cocktail reception, a strolling dinner, live and silent auctions, and entertainment. The event was held in the ballroom of the Detroit Yacht Club, and event proceeds will be used on restoration efforts.

Vista Maria 19th Annual Celebrating Women Event

More than 500 business leaders, philanthropists, and community supporters gathered on May 3 at The Henry in Dearborn for Vista Maria’s 19th annual Celebrating Women event. The evening included networking, a silent auction, dinner, a program, and an afterglow. Vista Maria was founded as an orphanage in 1883 by the Sisters of the Good Shepherd. Today, it supports vulnerable youth and their families.

29th Annual Purrfect Bow Wow Brunch
