2018 Kidney Ball

The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan hosted its Kidney Ball on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit. The 1920s-themed event included cocktails, dinner, dancing, an auction, and a candy bar. The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan works to prevent kidney disease and helps those who have it.

Third Annual Cars and Cigars at Freedom Hill

Smoke Detroit held its third annual Cars and Cigars event on June 9 at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights. More than 900 people attended this year's event, which benefited the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation and Celani Family Foundation.

Detroit Aglow 2013

More than 800 people attended Detroit Aglow at the MGM Grand Detroit on Nov. 25. A fundraiser for the Downtown Detroit Partnership, the evening included a cocktail reception followed by a sitdown dinner of caved turkey with all of the trimmings.

Men Who Cook at Henry Ford Hospital

On June 12, more than 800 people attended Men Who Cook at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. The event, a fundraiser for the Tom Groth Patient Medical Needs Fund, included several dozen culinary teams, a live auction, a raffle, and live entertainment.

Goodwin & Scieszka in Birmingham Law Day

On June 8, the law firm of Goodwin & Scieszka in Birmingham held its annual Law Day, where partners and lawyers provide free legal consultations, free bike helmets, food, and prizes. The afternoon event drew more than 100 people.
