The J. Ronald Terwilliger Foundation for Housing America’s Families will lead the Housing America’s Families Forum at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center on Nov. 15.

Wayne State University (WSU) in Detroit will launch the Wayne Innovation Hub on Nov. 15. The Hub is designed to coordinate and enhance the university’s programs for entrepreneurship education, technology commercialization, and community partnerships. The program is part of a five year strategic plan focused on innovation and entrepreneurship.

Re/Max of Southeast Michigan has released its September housing report, which indicates a 4.1 percent increase in home prices (an average price of $196,250). As the surplus of buyers has outweighed the amount of homes on the market, prices have risen and home sales have decreased by 1.6 percent.

Ann Arbor-based Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) and automotive test equipment supplier A&D Technology Inc. have signed an agreement to provide its clients with powertrain development cells for the Detroit area in their new laboratory space. The expansion will allow clients more convenient access to powertrain engineering services.

Detroit-based StockX, the first online stock market for consumer products, has announced the streetwear vertical addition to their ‘new luxury’ marketplace. Streetwear is StockX’s fourth vertical that can be bought or sold anonymously on the platform. Initially, streetwear will exclusively feature the Supreme brand, with other brands to follow.

P.F Chang’s, the full-service Asian fusion restaurant, will be opening a new location on Oct. 23 in Rochester Hills. The 5,861-square-foot space will include patio seating for 32 guests and indoor seating for up to 158 guests. 

Ann Arbor-based automotive accessory company Truck Hero has announced an agreement to acquire Omix-ADA Inc., an independent developer and supplier of Jeep off-road parts, accessories, and floor liners. The acquisition is expected to close at the end of October.

Cork and Gabel, a restaurant fusion of Irish, Italian, and German cuisine, is slated to open in Detroit's Corktown district in April 2018. The restaurant will be owned by co-founders Matt McGrail, executive chef, and Joe Mifsud, owner of several Corktown residential buildings.

Detroit Garment Group today presented a wearable technology exhibition at the Lear Innovation Center in downtown Detroit. The exhibition featured designs by Anina Net of 360Fashion Network in Traverse City, a company that specializes in fashion technology. The event showcased smart garments, accessories, robotic clothing, and new materials.

Royal Oak-based Beaumont Health will collaborate with University of Michigan-Dearborn to bring advanced care for children with autism. The new center will include autism-focused cross-training programs, health care providers, and educators.
