The Parade Co. kicked-off the holiday season Nov. 7 with its annual VIP Pancake Breakfast at its Detroit-based headquarters. The event featured celebrity flapjack flippers showcasing their cooking skills.

The Parade Co. hosted The Ford Fireworks Rooftop Party on June 23 atop the Miller Parking Deck just west of the Renaissance Center. More than 2,000 guests enjoyed a strolling dinner by Andiamo's, live entertainment, games, and a fireworks display over the Detroit River.

The Oakland County Bar Foundation held its 15th Annual Signature Event on April 25 at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township. The event supports community programs.

Tom Celani and Dario Bergamo of Smoke Detroit hosted Cars & Cigars at the VIP D Club at Freedom Hill in Sterling Heights on June 5. The event benefited the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation and the Celani Family Foundation.

An estimated 110,000 fans attend the 2014 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix, held May 30 to June 1 at Belle Isle Park. The total represents the highest attendance since the Grand Prix returned to Detroit in 2007.

The Detroit Tigers opened their regular season on March 31 with a 4-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals. As part of the festivities, Winning Futures held an Opening Day Party at the Gem Theatre.

News/Talk 760 WJR Morning Host Paul W. Smith hosted his annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration at the Detroit Athletic Club on March 17.

On Dec. 20., Wine Brokers in Milford, a Midwest distributor of fine wine, held a Christmas Party at a private residence in Bingham Farms. The event, which drew 180 guests, included a strolling dinner, dessert tables, and holiday cheer.

On Nov. 8, The Parade Co. and News/Talk WJR 760 hosted a VIP Pancake Breakfast at the parade studios in Detroit. The business networking event featured "celebrity flapjack flippers" showcasing their cooking skills.

The Karmanos Partners Golf Classic was held Sept. 9 at the Franklin Hills Country Club and celebrated the philanthropists and volunteers supporting the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
