Henry Ford Health System Appoints New President and CEO of Health Alliance Plan

Detroit-based Henry Ford Health System has appointed Teresa Kline as the new president and CEO of the Health Alliance Plan, and president of Henry Ford Health system starting Nov. 21.

As CEO and president, she will be top leader and visionary for all of HAP and its operations and work with the Henry Ford Health System to advance HAP programs and memberships.

Kline’s leadership experience spans 30 years, and she has served as CEO of CHA Health, president and CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Georgia, and regional vice president of Aetna Health Plans in the Southeast.For the past two years, Kline has led her own firm in Atlanta, providing strategic consulting, due diligence, and interim management services. Prior to that, she was the senior vice president and chief health care management officer for Health Care Service Corp., the fourth largest U.S. health insurer.

Kline,a current resident of the Atlanta area, received her master’s in public health from the University of Michigan and her bachelor’s degree in biology from Kalamazoo College.
