Metamora's White Horse Inn held its grand re-opening event on Nov. 22, with proceeds benefiting the Banbury Cross Therapeutic Equestrian Center in Oxford. The historic restaurant had closed in 2012 under previous ownership and has since undergone a $3-million restoration and expansion.

The Heat And Warmth Fund, in collaboration with DTE Energy, hosted the 14th annual Night of Warm Hearts on Nov. 12 at The Fillmore Detroit. The evening was part of the Week of Warmth's series of events that combined fundraising, energy education, community gatherings, and convenient access to assistance resources.

The 2015 MotorCity Automotive Industry Night (MAIN) Event kicked off the North American International Auto Show festivities on Jan. 11 at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit. More than 5,000 journalists attended the 2015 North American International Auto Show’s press preview days, held Jan. 12-13 at Cobo Center in Detroit. Automakers introduced 55 new vehicles and seven concepts cars during the two-day press event.

The Downtown Detroit Partnership hosted its Detroit Aglow Dinner and Fundraiser on Nov. 24 at the MGM Grand Detroit. More than 700 guests enjoyed a turkey dinner with all of the fixings. Sponsors included Strategic Staffing Solutions, DTE Energy Co., Detroit Medical Center, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Comerica, KMPG, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.

The International Institute Foundation held its 31st annual Heritage Hall of Fame Celebration on Nov. 6 at the Colony Club in downtown Detroit. The event, which drew more than 250 people, honored six exceptional leaders from various ethnic backgrounds who have made outstanding contributions to the American way of life.
