Ford hosted its 24th annual Hispanic Heritage event on Oct. 6 at The Dearborn Inn located in Dearborn. The annual gala, which celebrated Hispanic Heritage month, featured dancing, Mariachi, dinner, and local art exhibitors.

AUSA Arsenal of Democracy Chapter and Women in Defense-Michigan held the annual Celebrate Michigan's Military fundraising event on Oct. 15 at DC3S in Sterling Heights. Funds from the event were donated to Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, Inc.

As part of its 23rd annual Partners Events, the Karmanos Golf Classic was held Sept. 26 at Franklin Hills Country Club in Franklin. The event featured 18 holes with a cart, gourmet food, a raffle, and a strolling dinner. Awards were presented to the lowest scoring teams in four divisions.

The 12th annual Detroit Uncorked was held on Oct. 14 at Gleaners Community Food Bank in Detroit. The wine tasting event featured more than 250 wines, Michigan handcrafted beers, and premium spirits. The Detroit Wine Organization’s 2016 Winery of the Year Award was also presented.

The Detroit Hispanic Development Corp. held its 19th Annual Dream Makers Gala on Oct. 13 at Motor City Casino's Sound Board in Detroit. The theme for this year's gala was Unlocking Dreams – Building Futures.

Moceri Cos., an Auburn Hills-based custom home builder, held a press conference on Oct. 5 at the Oakland University Steve Sharf Clubhouse Pavilion for its new Blossom Collection senior living community. The company is investing more than $1.2 billion over 10 years to create the community.

The latest DBusiness Breakfast Series, which honored the 2016 class of 30 in Their Thirties, was held on Oct. 30 at the Great Lakes Culinary Center in Southfield. The breakfast, sponsored by Plante Moran, featured networking with some of metro Detroit's top entrepreneurs and business professionals.

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services held its fourth annual Week of Caring during the week of Sept. 25. More than 500 volunteers in metro Detroit participated in this year’s community service campaign, which served communities surrounding the company’s Farmington Hills corporate headquarters.

Judson Center’s annual A Night to Embrace Our Children and Families Gala was held on Oct. 8 at the Westin Book Cadillac in Detroit. The theme of this year's event was Havana Nights, and it featured live music, salsa dancing and lessons, and an authentic Cuban coffee bar.

Mount Clemens-based Believe Foundation, a nonprofit cancer awareness organization, hosted its Fifth Annual Night at the Ball Park on Sept. 23 at Comerica Park in Detroit. The event featured food, beverages, prizes, and a raffle drawing.
