Over 500 of Detroit's leading financial industry professionals gathered at Motor City Casino on November 18. The event featured Kevin O'Leary sharing his economic predictions for 2017, as well as live music and entertainment.

The Michigan Council for Women in Technology Foundation hosted their annual fundraising gala in style at Motor City Casino on November 5, 2016. More than 600 people enjoyed dinner, live and silent auctions, and musical entertainment.

Author Les Cochran hosted a book signing at Roman Village in Dearborn, the same location characters dined in his book "Sax Club."

The third annual Hunger Free in the D event was hosted on Nov. 21 at the recently opened Farmington Hills Harley Davidson dealership. Proceeds benefitted the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, Gleaner's Food Bank, and Forgotten Harvest.

Ambassador Cigars and Spirits, a new Troy-based lounge featuring premium cigars, held its grand opening on Nov. 4. The 5,000-square-foot facility features a glass enclosed, walk-in humidor, a full-service bar with cocktail and cigar pairings, Cuban-inspired small plates, and more.

The German American Chamber of Commerce held its annual fall dinner on Nov. 11 at the Westin Book Cadillac hotel in Detroit. Ambassador Peter Witting, Germany's highest-ranking representative to the U.S. government, was the guest speaker for the event.

Kids on the Go held a Superhero Soiree on Nov. 5 at the Westin Book Cadillac hotel in Detroit. The event featured a strolling dinner, beverage tastings, silent/live auction, and entertainment by Dave Santia and The Ben Sharkey Band.

A Foreign Minister's Award Reception for Yoshiteru Tagawa, president of the All United States Kendo Federation and vice president of the International Kendo Foundation, was held on Oct. 22 at the Consul General's Official Residence in Bloomfield Hills. Tagawa was recognized for promoting friendship and cultural exchange between Japan and the United States through the art of kendo.

TiECon Midwest, a two-day entrepreneurial conference, held its President's Reception on Oct. 27 at The Henry Autograph Collection hotel in Dearborn. The event featured networking opportunities, keynote presentations, and dinner and drinks.

Churchill's Bistro and Cigar Bar held a grand opening event on Nov. 17 at its new location in Grosse Pointe Woods. The two-story restaurant offers a full menu, a wide range of cigars, accessories like lighters and cigar cutters, as well as a 280-square-foot walk-in humidor.
