Southfield-based Denso Invests $190M, Adds 320 Jobs At Tennessee Manufacturing Plant

Southfield-based Denso, one of the world's largest automotive technology, systems, and components suppliers, is expanding its operations in North America through a $190 million investment in its Athens, Tenn. facility. The investment will add four new production lines and 320 jobs.

Ideal Contracting in Southwest Detroit Becomes Standalone Minority Business Enterprise, Acquires Barton Malow’s Interest

After 20 years of partnership, Frank Venegas, Jr., CEO of The Ideal Group in southwest Detroit, and Ryan Maibach, president and CEO of Barton Malow in Southfield, announced that Venegas is buying out Barton Malow's interest in Detroit-based Ideal Contracting, fulfilling the vision of its founding members. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
