Wayne County Community College District in downtown Detroit will break ground tomorrow on a new $25 million building that will focus on health, wellness, education, and real-world career opportunities. The new WCCCD City Center will be located at Fort and Howard streets, next to the WCCCD Downtown Campus. Completion of the facility is scheduled for spring, 2019.
Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder today announced a proposal to invest $79 million annually to help renew Michigan's environment and protect public health. The proposal serves as a replacement to the expired Clean Michigan Initiative Bond, which cleaned thousands of contaminated sites. Several thousand more contaminated sites still exist statewide.
