AmeriTrust Group Inc. in Southfield Thursday announced its retail agency subsidiary, Meadowbrook Insurance Agency, has acquired Florida’s Carol P. Rummel Insurance Agency, effective Oct. 29. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition provides Meadowbrook with additional revenue opportunities, niche product expertise, and expanded market reach.
As part of the transaction, Carolyn Rummel has been named president of Meadowbrook’s Florida operations.
“Carolyn Rummel has over 20 years of strong agency management and leadership experience, with a solid track record of success,” says Brian L. Risen, president of Meadowbrook. “This acquisition is consistent with our strategy to expand our full-lines agency presence in the Florida marketplace.”
AmeriTrust Group was founded in 1955 and is a specialty, niche-focused commercial insurance underwriter and insurance administration services provider within the commercial property and casualty insurance.
