Skyway Precision Inc. in Plymouth Township Acquires South Carolina’s Bellwright Manufacturing Inc.

Plymouth Township’s Skyway Precision Inc. today announced it has acquired South Carolina’s Bellwright Manufacturing, a manufacturer of computer numerical control machined components for the commercial truck, agricultural, utility vehicle, automotive, and appliance markets. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Skyway specializes in the machining of complex, close tolerance, iron, and aluminum drivetrain components for the transportation and general power markets, including light and heavy commercial truck, recreational vehicle, automotive, marine, construction, agricultural, and power generation equipment applications.

As part of the acquisition, Bellwright will provide Skyway with a management team and workforce. Skyway was advised on the transaction by Donnelly Penman and Partners in Grosse Pointe for investment banking and Giarmarco, Mullins, and Horton in Troy for legal work.
