James Place Lofts, a new 11-condominium development in Detroit’s Brush Park, are expected to be move-in ready when construction is completed in the fall. Sales have already begun for the site, which is located at 262 Mack Ave. The design was led by Royal Oak’s Krieger Klatt Architects.
“Being able to build off all the momentum of larger developments in the area and fill in the gaps has been important to the developers on this,” says Eric Walstrom, broker for Alexander Real Estate Detroit, which will be the listing agent for the development.
The development will feature open-concept floor plans and are smart-home ready. They will have 10-foot ceilings, a master bedroom suite with a walk-in master closet, on-site-finished oak floors, a large private patio or balcony, Ciot Designer quartz counters, KitchenAid stainless steel appliances, GROHE faucets and fixtures, SMART HOME lights, sound, and voice features, and NEST Learning thermostats.
Buyers can customize their tile, counters, floor, and paint selection upon purchase.
The townhouses will be priced in the mid-$500,000 range and feature two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The first-floor condos will be priced at mid $400,000 and offer two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Walstrom says the price point is lower than that of similar developments in the area, but the condos are geared for professionals who live downtown.
James Place Lofts will be close to Whole Foods, the Detroit Medical Center campus, Wayne State University, and Eastern Market.
There were no pre-sales for the project, Walstrom says. Sales information and materials samples can be found at Alexander Real Estate Detroit, 1001 Woodward Ave. Suite 500 in Detroit. Call (313) 230-0510 for more information.
