Just in time for Black Friday, Shinola will open its fourth metro Detroit retail location — at the soon-to-open Shinola Hotel – at 10 a.m. Friday.
The new 1,600-square-foot outpost located at 1420 Woodward Ave. will feature the brand’s full lineup of products, as well as items planned to be enjoyed by guests at the new Shinola Hotel, slated to open in December. Hotel items include the Runwell Desk Clock, Shinola Hotel Leather Pillow, and Shinola Hotel Throw Blanket will be available for purchase at Shinola Woodward as well as online at Shinola.com.
“Our new Woodward Avenue location will have a unique look and feel, different than any of our other 28 stores worldwide,” says Daniel Caudill, creative director at Shinola. “In addition to exclusive offerings of products that will be enjoyed at the hotel, the store will also debut the ‘Woodward Collection,’ a collection of leather bags made in our leather studio right here in Detroit.”
The Woodward Avenue location also will offer the exclusive opportunity to purchase the Shinola Hotel Runwell Timepiece gift set, featuring the address of the Shinola Hotel and details in the company’s distinctive blue.
As with all locations, the new store will offer Shinola’s free monogramming station, where buyers can have journals and leather goods embossed with their initials or name. Additionally, customers purchasing select pieces from Shinola’s jewelry collection can have their pieces custom engraved with up to three initials.
This location will be Shinola’s 27th brick-and-mortar retail location in the United States and 29th worldwide including stores in Detroit, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., and London among others.
