Detroit Tigers Announce New Food, Concessions, and Events for 2018 Season
The Detroit Tigers are introducing several new food items for the 2018 season, including the brisket and cheddar stuffed cornbread muffin.

The 118th season of Detroit Tigers baseball begins on Thursday, and with it comes new food items, promotions, concessions, fantasy experiences, and ticket packages. The Tigers open their home schedule with a six-game stretch at Comerica Park when they welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Kansas City Royals.
New this year are a digital pass that provides guaranteed tickets throughout the season, the 2018 Jack Morris and Alan Trammell Celebration Package to commemorate the induction of both players into the Baseball Hall of Fame this summer, expanded group ticket discounts and experiences, and party areas.
The added party areas include a rooftop deck in right field and the Chevrolet Pavilion. Both areas offer food and beverage selections. In addition, there will be two Bark at the Park nights (May 14 and Sept. 17), Grandparents Day (Aug. 23), Princess Day (May 27), Game of Thrones Night (July 6), and other events. Every Friday night game from May 25 to Sept. 21 will include post game fireworks, weather permitting.
For the team’s trip to Seattle May 17-21, fans can attended four games and receive a room for four nights at The Silver Cloud Hotel Seattle — Stadium, located directly across the street from Safeco Field. All vacations include round trip airfare, a pre-game party, and an exclusive event with select Tigers players and team personnel.
There’s also various travel options where fans can see the induction of 1984 Word Series teammates Jack Morris and Alan Trammell. All packages include airfare, a reserved ticket for the induction ceremony, and National Baseball Hall of Fame membership that includes admission into the National Baseball Hall of Fame (July 27-30).
New menu items include the Sy Ginsberg corned beef sandwich, apple pie egg rolls, Nutella egg rolls, Ode to Detroit Dog, ultimate southern burger, donut ice cream sandwich, porchetta sandwich, buffalo cauliflower, brisket and cheddar stuffed cornbread muffin, halal knockwurst, burrito and burrito bowls, power greens salad, nacho burger, muffaletta, and the Italian grinder.
In turn, the Detroit Tigers Authentics Program is entering its 12th season at Comerica Park. Located on the third baseline by section 133, fans can purchase and take home game-used baseballs, bases, bats, and jerseys from Tigers players.
The team also installed new netting in the lower bowl that extends from section 140 on the third base line to section 116 on the first base line. The new netting is 20 percent narrower than the previous netting, which increases transparency.
The Tigers baseball fantasy camp will be held Aug. 17-19 at Comerica Park. The camp includes an authentic Tigers uniform, all meals, and participation in 10 games. Five former Tigers will be in attendance throughout the camp.
