Bright Ideas, a furniture and home furnishings retailer in downtown Royal Oak, will move several blocks south to the former Haberman Fabrics Building located at 905 South Main Street, just south of Lincoln Avenue, in the coming months.

David and Jennifer Dilley, owners of Bright Ideas, have acquired the 19,000-square-foot Haberman Fabrics building. Bright Ideas will be joined in the space by Orange Theory Fitness. The sale and lease was handled by Colliers International in Southfield.

Once the move is complete, the Dilley’s original 20,000-square foot, two-story store at the northwest corner of Main and Third will be marketed for lease. The couple could add two more stories to the brick structure (220 South Main).

Toby and Sam Haberman, owners of Haberman Fabrics, are in the process of selling the store to longtime employee Petty Weir. Plans are to move to a smaller space in Clawson.

Colliers International will be marketing the Bright Ideas space, which, by adding two floors, would offer 33,000 square feet of space.
