Blo Detroit, a franchise of Blo Blow Dry Bar which bills itself as the largest such franchise in the world with more than 110 locations, will open Saturday at 1500 Washington Blvd. in downtown Detroit (northeast corner of Washington and Clifford).
The new blow dry bar, set in a chic, modern space, offers seven signature styles from Blo’s Hair Menu, while à la carte options are available. The location will appeal to downtown residents and workers, visitors, and people attending events in the area.
Featured services include blowouts, make-up, Blo on the go, Blo Bridal, Blo For a Cause, and more, including the razor-straight “Executive Sweet” to the runway-inspired “Pillow Talk.” Prices starts at $35, and trained stylists will deliver runway-ready hair in-bar or onsite, seven days a week.
“I always had a vision of what I wanted my beauty experience to be, as both an owner and a customer, so when I visited a Blo Blow Dry Bar on the West Coast, I knew I had to make that experience available to other women,” says Susan Peslar, Blo owner and operator.
“Detroit is seeing a renaissance among its residential and professional sectors – the Blo experience is perfect for busy professional women who live, work, and socialize in the city.”
Blo Detroit is open seven days a week: Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. – 7p.m.; and Sunday noon – 5 p.m. In addition, services are offered two hours before opening and two hours after close by appointment only, and walk-ins are accepted.
