ATA National Title Group, a Farmington Hills-based full-service title insurance agency, today announced it has acquired the assets of Greater Metropolitan Title to expand its coverage in the Chicago area. Terms of the transaction, which closed on April 30, were not disclosed.
The new company will be branded GMT Title Agency.

Robinson Jr., president of ATA. “This expansion with GMT Title Agency enables ATA to further develop our capabilities within the dynamic Chicago market with a company whose values and vision match ours.”
GMT Title Agency will maintain its four offices and 12 employees, adding to ATA’s three Illinois offices. ATA has 50 offices in the United States.

ATA provides comprehensive title and settlement services to companies and individuals involved in real estate transactions. It is licensed to issue title insurance in 29 states and offers title and settlement services in all 50 states through partnering relationships.
