New York-based in-home massage service Zeel today announced the expansion of its Massage On Demand massage service to Detroit. Customers can download the Zeel application to their smartphones and enjoy (or gift) a massage at their home, hotel, office, or other places throughout metro Detroit in as little as an hour after booking.

Zeel offers several different types of massages, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, couples, and sleep techniques. The company also allows customers to specify the gender of their massage therapist and the duration of their massage.

Appointments can be booked from 8 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Zeel’s massage therapists are on-call every day.

“We are thrilled to bring Zeel Massages and our award-winning customer service to Detroit,” says Samer Hamadeh, Zeel’s founder and CEO. “Detroit is open for business, and Zeel looks forward to joining in the city’s revitalization and growth.”

Zeel’s customers have the option to purchase individual massages or join the company’s subscription-based massage membership, Massage Zealot, which allows members to integrate wellness into their routines. The membership includes discounted massages, a 90-day trial option, the ability to share memberships between household members, and a professional massage table and sheet set.

All Zeel therapists are licensed and insured in their state of practice, and are vetted in-person by the company. A 60-minute Zeel massage in Detroit costs $105, and members pay $87. All Zeel massages include an 18 percent gratuity in the cost.

Zeel created its on-demand massage service in 2012, and currently employs more than 8,500 licensed massage therapists in its network of 60 cities throughout the U.S.
