Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool Corp. is introducing several new products to the home construction industry, including the Sunset Bronze Kitchen Suite and Fingerprint Resistant Black Stainless Steel Kitchen Suite.
The Sunset Bronze Kitchen Suite is a warm-tone, painted stainless steel suite. The color, a blend of gold, copper, and bronze tones, is achieved through color blocking painted stainless steel. The suite is also fingerprint-resistant, which reduces the visibility of smudges.
Whirlpool is also introducing the Fingerprint Resistant Black Stainless Steel Kitchen Suite. Like the finish on the Sunset Bronze Kitchen Suite, the fingerprint-resistant matte black finish will hide daily wear and easily wipe clean.
“We’re blurring the line between furniture and machine in our designs,” says Jason Tippetts, global brands design manager at Whirlpool. “Satin and matte finishes help builders blend with other materials in the kitchen, creating continuity from surface to surface. This is especially important because the kitchen has integrated into families’ living spaces and is truly the hub of the home.”
The new products will make their debut at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC) in San Diego today. Members of Whirlpool’s global design and connectivity teams will be available at the PCBC to discuss the latest trends in design, connectivity, and how builders can use appliances as solutions to consumers’ problems.
“Purposeful innovation is a core competency at Whirlpool,” says Bob Bergeth, the company’s general manager of contract builder sales. “We’re proud to showcase our culture of innovation at PCBC by introducing products that will transform the way consumers cook and clean. Show attendees will also have the opportunity to meet a few of the creative minds that developed these products.”
Other Whirlpool products on display at the PCBC include: the Smart Kitchen Suite featuring Scan-to-Cook and Assisted Cooking technology, the KitchenAid 23-foot, 36-inch Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator with FreshVue Door-within-Door, the KitchenAid 36-inch Six Burner Dual Fuel Freestanding Range and Wall-Mount Canopy Hood, Commercial-Style, Jenn-Air’s 15-inch Modular Electric Griddle, 15-inch Two Burner Modular Gas Cooktop, and 15-inch Modular Induction Wok, Zera’s Food Recycler, and Whirlpool’s Smart All-in-One Care Washer and Dryer Combo.
