UberEATS, a stand-alone food delivery service that partners with local restaurants, today announced its launch in Detroit. The application has partnered with more than 100 local restaurants, including Dilla’s Delights, Olga’s Kitchen, Andiamo, Kerby’s Koney Island, and more.

UberEATS users download the application, log in with their Uber account, select a restaurant, pay with a credit or a debit card on file, and wait for delivery – much like meeting an Uber.

“The UberEATS app allows users to order food delivery whenever they get a craving, with menus available from over 100 restaurant locations in Detroit,” says Pete Forsberg, general manager for UberEATS Michigan. “We’re thrilled to launch today in Detroit to connect local residents and visitors with new, tasty options, add new earning opportunities for driver-partners, and help local restaurant owners expand the reach of their business.”

UberEATS will also be launching in several neighborhoods throughout metro Detroit, including Berkley, Dearborn, Melvindale, Roseville, and Grosse Pointe. To celebrate the launch, first-time users can enter the promotional code DETROITEATS to receive their first two deliveries free through Dec. 14.

The UberEATS app is free to download at the App Store or Google Play, and can also be accessed here.
