Global sports entertainment company Topgolf today announced that Michigan’s first Topgolf Swing Suite will be coming to MGM Grand Detroit this September. The Swing Suite will feature three simulators, lounge seating, HDTVs, and food and beverage service and can be rented for social gatherings or private practice sessions.

“Topgolf Swing Suites feature a high-energy, interactive sports and social atmosphere that adds another dimension to our property for those looking for more than a gaming experience,” says Michael Neubecker, MGM Grand Detroit’s president and COO. “We are excited to bring this new offering to Detroit and to expand our strong relationship with Topgolf.”

The Topgolf Swing Suite is designed for both golfers and non-golfers, allowing up to six people to play, eat, drink, and socialize in each simulator at one time. The company opened its first installation at the Four Seasons Hotel in Houston in January and announced plans to open a Swing Suite at the renovated Philips Arena in Atlanta.

“Topgolf has partnered with MGM Resorts International since our Topgolf Las Vegas venue opened, and we are excited to expand our partnership to give downtown Detroit visitors and residents a unique social experience in a world-class hotel,” adds Ron Powers, Topgolf Swing Suites’ president.
