The Suburban Collection in Troy today announced the acquisition of Jaguar of Troy from the Elder Automotive Group. The transaction also includes the acquisition of Land Rover Birmingham, previously owned by the Fed Lavery Co.

The Suburban Collection will take over the 50,000-sqaure-foot Jaguar of Troy facility, located at 1815 Maplelawn in the Troy Motor Mall, which will be co-branded and offer customers both Land Rover and Jaguar products. A new Jaguar Land Rover imaged facility is planned for construction within the next 18 months.

“Jaguar and Land Rover are ideal complements to our automotive luxury offerings in Troy,” says David T. Fischer, chairman and CEO of The Suburban Collection. “We look forward to providing our customers even more new car options across Southeast Michigan.”

Founded in 1948 as a standalone Oldsmobile dealership, the Suburban Collection is currently Michigan’s largest dealership group and 15th largest nationally. The collection currently spans 36 automotive bands over 52 dealership locations through southeast Michigan, Florida, and California.
