Soave Enterprises to Break Ground on Elton Park in Corktown

Detroit-based holding company Soave Enterprises and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan today announced the groundbreaking on Corktown’s Elton Park, which will begin at 3 p.m. on May 8.

The event will initiate the first phase of the project’s construction, which spans five blocks and is comprised of six buildings. The $45 million development will feature 151 rental units, 124,000-square feet of residential space, and 13,400-square feet of retail.

Speakers at the groundbreaking will include:

  • Anthony Soave, president of Soave Enterprises
  • Tysen McCarthy, vice president of Soave Real Estate
  • Greg Tedder, executive vice president of community development for the Michigan Economic Development Corp.
  • Ron Cooley, Corktown business owner
  • Steven Davis, senior vice president of middle market banking for Comerica Bank
  • David Lochner, regional president for Huntington Bank

Elton Park will be located at the northwest corner of Eighth and Elizabeth streets, and the total development will be a $150 million investment.
