Dearborn-based Olympia Nursing and Rehabilitation Network, a provider of short-term rehabilitation and nursing services, today announced the creation of a pre-surgical orthopedic specialty program at each of its facilities throughout metro Detroit. The program includes advanced equipment and will provide rejuvenation and customized evaluations.

“With our state-of-the-art equipment and our compassionate staff that provides the highest quality of care, we’re able to help each of our patients achieve amazing results through this program,” says Sima Lerman, president of Olympia Nursing and Rehabilitation. “Going through rehab can be very difficult on both the patient and their families, so we’ve created this program to ensure this process is as seamless and comforting as possible.”

The orthopedic program also involves a therapist visit to patients’ homes before they are discharged to determine if any adjustments will be necessary to ensure their safety and maximum mobility during recovery.

Founded in 2000, Olympia Nursing and Rehabilitation operates seven facilities in Michigan — Detroit, Taylor, Westland, Center Line, Dearborn Heights, Hamtramck, and Holland — and partners with all local hospital systems. Each facility provides short and long-term patients with individualized health care plans for issues ranging from diabetes complications, orthopedic trauma, stroke, neurological, and memory care.
