The Epicurean Group in Detroit today announced its newest restaurant, Nomad Grill, will open for dinner service on Sunday, May 14 at the newly-renovated Premier Hotel by Best Western along Telegraph Road in Southfield. Following the grand opening, the restaurant will serve lunch, dinner, and happy hour beginning on Monday, May 15.
Nomad Grill’s culinary team will be led by corporate executive chef Kevin Green, who describes the menu as “eclectic.” Selections will include fried grits, a cheeseburger quesadilla, and a 14-ounce, 21-day dry aged New York strip steak. The restaurant will also serve Coach Insignia’s signature lobster corn dogs, and will feature more than 400 wine selections, including vintages dating back to 1966.
“When faced with closing Coach at the top of the Renaissance Center (in February), we all felt the ground shake a bit,” says Stanley B. Dickson, Jr., owner of The Epicurean Group. “With this move, our catering capabilities will be expanded and our dining experience will be more fun and comfortable. We have achieved what our customers want.”
The restaurant will service 20,000 square feet of conference and event space that is part of the newly renovated circular hotel (formerly Holiday Inn), located at 26555 Telegraph, north of 10 Mile Road. The restaurant’s “refined comfort” theme extends to both the menu and décor, and the dining room includes different seating options, natural light, reclaimed wood, a finished fireplace, and a custom bar with seating for 25 guests.
There are multiple options for business meetings, conferences, private events, and family celebrations.
“We are striving to create a menu that is refined yet approachable,” says Green. “One where our guests leave feeling fulfilled not only with the flavor, but with the value and overall dining experience. We did the impossible, we even have a sexy meatloaf sandwich!”
The Epicurean Group operates several restaurants throughout metro Detroit, including Plaza Deli in Southfield, Deli Unique in Novi, Soul Café in West Bloomfield Township, and the Novi Chophouse in Novi.
