Detroit Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera will host the ninth annual Keeping Kids in the Game event on Thursday, July 27 at Comerica Park. During the event, Cabrera’s truck — which has been featured on the Discovery Channel’s show Diesel Brothers — will be auctioned off to raise money for children’s health and youth baseball.

The 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD is outfitted with a 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV front clip and detailing specific to Cabrera and the Tigers. The one-of-a-kind truck will be featured on two upcoming episodes of Diesel Brothers, on Monday, June 19 and Thursday, June 22 at 9 p.m. The special will also air in Spanish on Discovery Español on June 19 and June 26 at 10 p.m.

Proceeds from the auction will support children’s health and baseball programs facilitated by the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation, C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, and the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities and the Miguel Cabrera Foundation. Sponsored by Delta and Lear Corp., the event will feature exclusive ballpark and field access, self-guided tours of the home clubhouse, a dugout photo station, and a private firework show. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment, additional auction items, and a strolling dinner.

Cabrera’s truck will be on display throughout the event and the auction will take place at 10:00 p.m. Interested bidders who are unable to attend can contact the Detroit Tigers Foundation, and verified bids will be accepted, along with live bids during the event.
