Integr8 Conference to Bring Manufacturing, Technology Professionals to Detroit

2040

Automation Alley, a statewide technology and manufacturing business association based in Troy, today announced its Integr8 conference, which will take place in Detroit on Nov. 9 at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. Industry 4.0 is a reference to a fourth industrial revolution that includes the digital transformation of manufacturing utilizing the Internet of Things, advanced robotics, IT, Big Data, autonomous machines, and other connected platforms from the supply chain to end products.

The global, cross-discipline conference will be focused on Industry 4.0 technologies and is expected to attract hundreds of industry professionals. Topics to be covered include cybersecurity, big data, artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing, advanced materials, robotics, cloud computing, simulation, visualization, and more.

Confirmed keynote speakers include Howard Hepplemann, divisional vice president and general manager of connected operations solutions at PTC, the creator of the leading Internet of Things and augmented reality platforms. The Honorable Kenneth E. Hyatt, deputy undersecretary for international trade for the U.S. Department of Commerce will be discussing his experience regarding advising several private sector organizations. Other confirmed speakers will include Industry 4.0 leaders from General Electric, General Motors Co., Lear Corp., University of Michigan, Facton Inc., Carnegie Mellon University, Fraunhofer Institute, and Omron Automation.

“Smart, connected factories have created both immense opportunities and great challenges for manufacturers both locally and across the globe. Because the speed of change related to Industry 4.0 is so rapid, manufacturers, especially the small and medium-sized manufacturers, need help navigating this uncharted territory. That’s why we created Integr8,” says Tom Kelly, CEO of Automation Alley. “Through Integr8, we are delivering knowledge to help ensure companies embrace the technological changes associated with Industry 4.0 and don’t get left behind.”

Integr8 will also feature a targeted technology expo, panel discussions, and breakout sessions with industry experts focused on advancements in manufacturing, overcoming obstacles, financial return on investment, and blueprints for Industry 4.0 implementation in the eight disruptive technology areas.
