HyperX, a gaming division of Kingston Technology Co. Inc., today announced a fan gaming event with professional basketball player Jonas Jerebko of the Boston Celtics. The event will be held at the Microsoft store at the Somerset Collection in Troy from 12-2p.m on July 9.
Fans will have the opportunity to meet and challenge Jerebko and his eSports team, the Detroit Renegades, to win the new HyperX Alloy Elite gaming mechanical keyboard.
Jerebko, who played for the Detroit Pistons from 2009 to 2015, considers Michigan his home. He recently acquired the Detroit Renegades CS:GO and Overwatch teams, which are based in Rochester.
Fans will also have the chance to meet and talk with members of the University of Michigan eSports division to learn more about eSports and competitive gaming. Activities at the event will also include a raffle, photo opportunities with Jerebko, and limited-supply swag bags for attendees.
