HBA’s Parade of Homes Opens Today Throughout Southeastern Michigan

1929

The Homebuilders Association of Southeastern Michigan (HBA) today announced the 28th annual exhibition of new model homes throughout southeastern Michigan opens today and runs through June 30.

The Parade of Homes offers homebuyers an opportunity to visit the area’s latest model and inventory homes, including estate-sized, single-family, condominiums, and affordable homes

Visitors can view the latest trends in energy efficiency, green building, architecture, interior design, amenities, and materials. The 78 model homes and condos range in base price from $144,900-$1.5 million.

The Parade of Homes, including the blue-ribbon winners, were built by 31 different designers, all members of HBA. Of the homes, two are pre-construction, so homebuyers have the opportunity to work with the builder from the beginning of construction. Another 11 of the homes are currently under construction, and the remainder are built and are open for visitors beginning today.

“The 78 new homes featured in this program offer a good cross section of the homes being built throughout southeastern Michigan,” says Michael Stoskopf, CEO of HBA. “We’re excited to be building innovative new homes for the families of southeastern Michigan.”

Architects and industry experts judged the homes and awarded blue ribbons in several categories, including innovation, aesthetic appeal, and value for the price. Judges for this year’s program were Lonny S. Zimmerman of Siegal/Tuomaala Associates, Benedetto Tiseo of Tiseo Architects Inc., Michael J. Gordon of Moiseev/Gordon Associates, Mary Peltier of Lake Michigan Credit Union, and Joe Sabatini of RE/MAX Southeastern Michigan.
