First Hospitality Group Inc. Opens Hyatt Place in Ann Arbor

First Hospitality Group Inc., a management, acquisition, and development company, has opened the Hyatt Place Ann Arbor hotel. The establishment is owned by Rockbridge and developed by the firm’s affiliate hotel development company, RBHD, in Ann Arbor.

The new six-story hotel broke ground in April 2016 and is located at 3223 S. State St. Hyatt Place Ann Arbor features 142 over-sized guest rooms, each with one or two king-size beds. Some rooms feature a “cozy corner” with a sofa-couch. In addition, Wi-Fi is available at no cost, and the hotel offers 24-hour food offerings.

“As we expand our footprint in the metro Detroit area, we are thrilled to open … in Ann Arbor,” says Robert Habeeb, president and CEO of First Hospitality Group. “The city of Ann Arbor offers a wide array of leisure and business opportunities.”

Hyatt Place Ann Arbor includes a complimentary hot breakfast available for guests in the gallery kitchen, featuring items like cage-free eggs, natural bacon and sausage, Greek yogurt, and more. In addition, the kitchen serves freshly prepared meals, salads, sandwiches, and grab-and-go items 24 hours a day. A coffee to cocktails bar also features Starbucks specialty beverages, beer, wine, and other cocktails.

Other amenities include meeting spaces with 1,700 square feet of flexible, high-tech meeting and function space, and a 24-hour gym with cardio equipment with LCD touchscreens and an indoor pool.

Hyatt Place Ann Arbor is located near downtown Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan, Michigan Stadium, and the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. The hotel is also near Briarwood Mall and close to I-94. The hotel offers complimentary shuttle service within a three-mile radius.
