The Somerset Collection in Troy has brought the luxury footwear brand Del Toro to the Michigan market for the upcoming holiday season.

Open through Jan. 2 at Somerset South, Del Toro will feature a curated collection of men’s and women’s slippers, chukkas, sneakers, and accessories, as well as a Bespoke Bar where customers can create their own slippers.

Del Toro is a 12-year-old, Miami-based brand that hand-makes all of its shoes in Italy. The brand was acquired by a group of investors including Nathan Forbes, Andrew Forbes, Daniel Sillman, and Kevin Kelleher last April.

“The Forbes Company’s legacy is defined by our ability to identify brands that are differentiators in the market and position them for success,” says Nathan Forbes, managing partner of The Forbes Co. in Southfield. “Since its launch, Del Toro has seen incredible success, and we are thrilled to share this brand with our home state.”

In addition to The Somerset Collection, Del Toro will be establishing seasonal brick and mortar locations in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood and Palm Beach, Fla.
