Detroit-based independent outdoor advertising company Brooklyn Outdoor has made its headquarters in Eastern Market available for private rentals through a newly developed division, Brooklyn Events. The Brooklyn Outdoor Loft can be reserved for corporate events, luncheons, dinners, photography sessions, and private parties.

In 2015, Brooklyn Outdoor moved to a 2,000-square-foot loft space in Detroit’s Eastern Market, which can accommodate up to 60 seated guests or 200 people for a strolling event. Directly overlooking Shed 2, the space includes expansive views of downtown Detroit.

The space also offers versatile furnishings for various event configurations. Candice Simons, president and CEO of Brooklyn Outdoor, designed Brooklyn Outdoor Loft and curated its furnishings and art pieces.

“It is important that we not only showcase our personality in the space, but also that of the community around us that has done so much to support our work and ideals at Brooklyn Outdoor,” says Simons. “So much of our inspiration and success can be credited to Detroit, so we want to make sure we create an environment that reflects that.”

The Brooklyn Outdoor Loft is also equipped with television monitors, audio-visual equipment, and a large whiteboard for brainstorming. Recent events at the space have been held for Lear Corp., General Motors Co., the Michigan Women’s Foundation, the American Heart Association, Bedrock, Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, The Platform, and more.

The company offers monthly membership packages, where clients can rent the space for a given number of hours or on a monthly basis for various meetings. Catering and bar packages are also available, and the team can handle on and off-site related inquiries including refreshment menus, music, and furniture rentals.
