As courts nationwide seek technology upgrades, Ann Arbor-based Court Innovations today announced it is using its platform Matterhorn to leverage court case data and help citizens use an online dispute resolution (ODR) platform to resolve ticket, warrant, family, and small claims matters without in-person hearings.
As part of the effort, Court Innovations has collaborated with Equivant on a portfolio of mission-specific court solutions.
Specifically, Matterhorn by Court Innovations allows courts to handle high-volume infractions completely online, saving citizens and courts time and money. The platform is currently used in more than 30 courts throughout Michigan, Ohio, and Arkansas and has helped resolve more than 20,000 tickets and disputes online.
The integration of the products extends Matterhorn to communities across the U.S. and allows Canton, Ohio-based Equivant to offer ODR as a pluggable component of its case management suite.

The company’s CourtView and JWorks software are currently used by justice stakeholders nationwide to manage millions of daily transactions.
Both Court Innovations and Equivant are active members of the IJIS Institute Court Advisory Committee and regularly participate in national forums to advocate innovation between courts and technology suppliers.
