Extended stay hotel brand WoodSpring Hotels has partnered with Grand Rapids-based developer M2B2 to build a new WoodSpring Suites location in Wixom. The new franchised location is the first of three that M2B2 plans to build in the region.
The new four-story, 122-room property, to be located between Grand River Avenue and I-96 near South Wixom Avenue, is expected to open in 2018 and will feature in-room kitchens, free high-speed internet, guest laundry, and the company’s cleaning system, among other offerings.
“After seeing what WoodSpring had planned (in Wixom) and learning about how much research and effort they put into their new strategy, we could not be more excited about the company’s new direction and what we think might be the best opportunity in the lodging industry,” says Mike Huszti, managing partner of M2B2.
With more than 200 hotels systemwide located in over 30 states, WoodSpring Hotels owns 90 hotels and provides management services for both company-owned and franchised locations under the WoodSpring Suites and Value Place brands.
