Southfield-based Together Health Network today announced the University of Michigan Health System has joined the network as a referral provider for complex, quaternary health care services.
“This new provider agreement brings (University of Michigan Health System’s) nationally ranked health care expertise to our members throughout the state where Together Health Network operates,” says Dr. Scott Eathorne, president and CEO of Together Health Network,
He says the agreement will allow Together Health to improve its clinical integration strategy to provide patients access to comprehensive care, and allow for further, broader clinical collaboration efforts between U-M and the network.
It will also allow U-M to provide highly specialized care services generally not available in the communities served by the hospitals and physicians associated with Ascension and Trinity Health.
“This will benefit both our clinical practice and our medical training programs,” says Dr. David Spahlinger, president of the University of Michigan Health System, “This is a great benefit to our patients, to our doctors, nurses and other caregivers, and to our students.”
The Together Health Network is comprised of 25 hospitals, ambulatory centers operated by Ascension and Trinity Health, and physician organizations across the state.
