Clinton Township-based Tweddle Group, a global supplier of information and publishing products for automotive OEMs, has finalized a partnership with Germany-based software company Empolis Information Management GmbH to innovate vehicle repair. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We look forward to our mutual cooperation with Empolis,” says Paul Wilbur, president and CEO of Tweddle Group. “Two highly innovative companies, working together on new IoT (Internet of Things) digital solutions, will create a dynamic new alliance to serve our global OEMs, T1 automotive suppliers, and dealers with intelligent new (platform as a service) products and related services.”
The partnership will allow Empolis to integrate its knowledge-based Smart Service software into Tweddle’s Vehicle Relationship Management platform.
Wilbur says the software will deliver faster, more intelligent technical information to service technicians for more reliable diagnostics, better repairs, and reduced OEM warranty costs.
Tweddle Group has more than 700 employees with offices throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
OEMs such as BMW, FCA, Ford, Nissan, Subaru, and Toyota use solutions designed by the company.
