Lean Startup Co., a San Francisco-based company that provides training and resources to entrepreneurs and corporate leaders, will host the next event of its Lean Startup Labs summit series on Sept. 20 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit.

“We’re featuring Lean Startup experts who will share key practices to help the entrepreneurial community,” says Kirsten Cluthe, editorial director for Lean Startup Co. “We’re also highlighting a few local founders who will share their stories of starting a business and lessons learned in the entrepreneurial environment of Detroit.”

The Detroit Summit will begin with an interactive pre-program training session where attendees will get an introduction to the Lean Startup methodology — a practice for developing products and businesses based on validated learning to eliminate uncertainty. Topics such as customer validation, pivots, and build-measure-learn feedback loop will be covered.

Suneel Gupta, an entrepreneur who was named the New Face of Innovation by the New York Stock Exchange, will kick off the event’s main program with opening remarks. Executive leaders from Century Partners, Liberty Ventures, City of Detroit, Rise, Bamboo Detroit, and the Detroit Public Lighting Authority will also deliver speeches.

A networking reception will follow the main program.

The event, to be located at 4454 Woodward Ave., will run from 4:30-8:30 p.m. Tickets range from $30 to $99 and are available for purchase online.
