Detroit-based Motown Museum and Corporate Travel Service are partnering with entertainment company StarVista Live to launch the inaugural All Access Pass Live: Detroit, a Motown-themed travel program. Taking place next year from April 22 to 25, attendees will have access to historical sites and venues rarely open to the public and the chance to hear personal stories from musicians.
“With the stunning rebirth of Detroit, what better time to celebrate everyone’s favorite music genre with an insider’s tour of Detroit’s cultural and music history along with a wonderful taste of one of America’s most special and exciting renewed cities,” says Mike Jason, senior vice president of Live Entertainment at StarVista Live.
All Access Pass Live: Detroit will include a private tour of the Motown Museum, located at 2468 W. Grand Blvd., led by singer Martha Reeves of Martha Reeves and the Vandellas. During the tour, she will share stories of her time as a recording artist and as a Motown secretary during the company’s early years.
The Four Tops will also perform at the Roostertail nightclub, located at 100 Marquette Dr. in Detroit, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their Four Tops – Live album, which was recorded on the upper deck of the venue. Attendees will have backstage access to meet the group and listen to lead singer Duke Fakir speak about the night they recorded the album.
Tickets for the program, which start just under $2,000, also include three nights at The Henry luxury hotel in Dearborn, motor coach transportation, two private group dinners, two private cocktail receptions, a gala farewell breakfast, a Motown-themed reception at M1 Concourse in Pontiac, admission to Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, a ride in an authentic Model T, and a tour of the Ford Rouge Factory Experience.
