Moceri Cos., an Auburn Hills-based custom home builder, is investing more than $1.2 billion over 10 years to add new luxury living communities to The Blossom Collection — a group of living spaces across southeast Michigan for those 55 and older.

The investment will fund the construction of Blossom Park in Auburn Hills, Blossom Mills in downtown Rochester, and Blossom Lane Verandas in Sterling Heights. The new senior living communities will join The Blossom Collection, which includes the original Blossom Ridge in Oakland Township, located at the northwest corner of Dutton and Adams Roads, and Carillon Creek, located at Adams and Silverbell roads.

The construction and architecture is under review for the Auburn Hills and downtown Rochester locations, which will contain an average of 248 residences over 20 acres of land. The building permits will be submitted in the winter of 2017 for the locations, and construction is expected to be complete by May 2018.

The Sterling Heights project, to feature a $300 million, resort-style master planned community that will include the Maple Lane golf course, will begin after the Auburn Hills and Rochester construction.

When complete, the Blossom Collection will include more than 1 million square feet of detached homes, townhomes, condominiums, and luxury apartments surrounded by landscapes, mature trees, and a variety of amenities. The communities will also feature clubhouses with a variety of dining options, indoor and outdoor pools and spas, retail shopping, exercise rooms, parks, and more.

“The Blossom Collection will exceed the expectations of the active adult lifestyle in the entire region,” says Dominic J. Moceri, partner at Moceri Cos. “It’s a concept built around allowing generations to thrive in the communities in which they know and love, connected to amenities, services, and experiences that make this chapter of their life the best one yet.”

He says The Blossom Collection has started taking reservations for its new locations.
