Battle Creek-based Kellogg Co. is expanding its breakfast and snack offerings with the addition of Raisin Bran granola, Special K crustless quiches, and soda pop-inspired Pop-Tarts, among other offerings.
The Raisin Bran line will expand with two new varieties of granola: raisin and honey, with granola clusters, wheat bran flakes, and raisins, along with cranberry almond, which features puffed grains, raisins, honey, cranberries, and almonds.
“Kellogg’s Raisin Bran granolas provide a variety of flavors and textures that will appeal to both Raisin Bran lovers and traditional granola fans,” says Cathy Schneck, vice president of innovation for Kellogg U.S. Morning Foods.
The Special K crustless quiches will come frozen, and take two minutes to heat in the microwave. Each single-serving quiche provides 10 to 11 grams of protein, with flavors including uncured ham, cheese, quinoa, and peppers; sausage, quinoa, peppers, mozzarella, and Asiago; and Portabella, quinoa, parmesan, Asiago, and kale.
Special K’s snack bar line is also expanding with new flavors of the protein trail mix bars including chocolate peanut pecan and fruit and nut, along with the addition of dark chocolate pomegranate and coconut caramel chewy snack bars.
The new Pop-Tarts flavors include Orange Crush and A&W Root Beer, arriving at stores this spring.
“We know that people love mash-ups of the things they love, and we are building on that with these new flavors,” says Angela Gusse, marketing director for Pop-Tarts.
The Orange Crush Pop-Tart will be topped with white frosting and orange string icing, while the root beer option will have a light brown crust topped with white frosting and sprinkles.
Other new products include:
- Cheez-It sandwich crackers in cheddar, Italian four cheese, and spicy queso
- Eggo oats and berries waffles
- Special K multigrain crackers with quinoa
- MorningStar Farms veggie breakfast sausage and grain patties
- Rice Krispies cereal with red and blue Krispies
- Town House flatbread crisps
- Keebler Fudge Stripes birthday cake cookies
