Farmington Hills-based Happy’s Pizza has opened its first dine-in restaurant in Ann Arbor, offering a full bar along with a dine-in menu and delivery menu that includes beer and wine delivery.

John Moran, CEO of Happy’s Pizza, says Ann Arbor was chosen as the city to pilot the concept because of its history of being a sports and college town.

“We think Happy’s Pizza guests will really enjoy the full bar and sit-down dining, and we’re looking forward to building great relationships with new customers in the Ann Arbor community,” he says.

Moran says the 200-seat restaurant, located at 640 Packard St. at the corner of Arbor Street, has a menu with more than 220 offerings, including pizza, salads, chicken, ribs, and seafood. Pizzas include offerings such as Spicy Hawaiian, Grilled Chicken with chicken, onions, and banana peppers, and a BBQ Chicken pizza with barbecue chicken, red onions, and bacon, among others. The restaurant will also have a beer, wine, and cocktail beverage menu, and will launch a special Happy Hour in the coming weeks.

Moran says the new restaurant will offer carryout and delivery of its full menu. He says Happy’s Pizza will also deliver wine and beer to Ann Arbor residents living within a five-mile radius of the restaurant.

He says he plans to use the model of the new Ann Arbor restaurant to expand the dine-in concept to additional locations on a national scale.

Happy’s Pizza, founded in 1996 in Detroit, has 50 carry out restaurants in Michigan and more than 100 across eight states.
