Grand Rapids-based Ranir, a manufacturer of store brand oral care products such as Rembrandt, has acquired its 200,000-square-foot corporate headquarters, R&D, and manufacturing facility. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Ranir was previously a tenant of the property, located at 4701 East Paris Ave. in Grand Rapids, and now occupies the entire building.

The facility includes space for offices, product development and testing, and ISO certified manufacturing.

“We continue to invest in our business from research and product development to acquisitions and new talent, and felt purchasing our long-time corporate headquarters was an important move to give us complete autonomy and agility in how we operate our business and utilize our space,” says Rich Sorota, president and CEO of Ranir.

Founded in 1979, Ranir acquired the Rembrandt teeth-whitening brand from Johnson and Johnson Consumer Inc. in July. Employing more than 550 associates at its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility, which produces power and manual toothbrushes, teeth whiteners, dental floss and flossers, and more, the company’s products can be found at retailers in more than 40 countries.
