Crispelli’s Bakery and Pizzeria — with restaurants in West Bloomfield Township and along Woodward Avenue in Berkley — has opened a new French bakery called Bread by Crispelli’s in Royal Oak. Additionally, a new Crispelli’s will open this spring in Troy.

“(The bakery) is a high-volume artisan bakery that is providing bread to our wholesale accounts, our existing restaurants, and our retail bread for the public,” says Mark Flora, director of operations at Crispelli’s. “We have pastries, desserts, and coffees, and it’s just a beautiful spot.”

Bread by Crispelli’s, located at 931 N. Main St., just south of Catalpa, is 6,000 square feet and offers seating for customers. Flora says the bakery features a wide selection of baked goods such as marble cinnamon bread, garlic Asiago scones, and chocolate cherry scones, among other offerings.

Flora says the third Crispelli’s restaurant in will open this spring at 645 E. Big Beaver (west of Rochester Road), near Bahama Breeze and Panera Bread. The new Crispelli’s will have a similar concept to its West Bloomfield Township and Berkley restaurants, featuring an open-kitchen pizzeria with a stone fired oven.

Crispelli’s Bakery and Pizzeria restaurants offer pizzas, Paninis, sandwiches, pastas, burgers, soups, and salads, including offerings such as a Margherita pizza, a Caprese Panini, and lasagna.
