Carbon Media Group, a Bingham Farms-based digital firm that owns more than 500 websites, has launched a new agriculture-focused, daily news website called AgDaily.

The website will provide farming and rural lifestyle audiences with content such as agricultural news stories and current events, information on relevant product markets, and featured stories and films.

“AgDaily is committed to the traditional needs of farmers while speaking thoughtfully to the next generation in agricultural production,” says Ryan Tipps, managing editor of AgDaily.

The website was unveiled yesterday at the Ag PhD Field Day event in Baltic, S.D., which featured demos, educational sessions, and guest speakers, and drew production farmers from 40 states across the country.

The website is tailored for use on mobile devices, which is where the Carbon Media Group receives more than half of their audience.

“We want to make sure that whether you’re in the field, on your phone, or in the office at your desk that you’ve had a compelling user experience and truly relevant content at your fingertips,” says Daniel Seliger, executive vice president of content for Carbon Media Group.

With more than 30 million unique users per month, Carbon Media Group functions as the largest producer of outdoor content on the internet. The firm’s audience includes commercial farmers, horseback riders, rural residents, hunters, anglers, hikers, and more.
