New York’s H&M Plans New Stores at Laurel Park Place, Southland Center

The New York-based retailer H&M today announced it will open a 19,000-square-foot store in Livonia’s Laurel Park Place as well as a 24,000-square-foot location at Taylor’s Southland Center in Taylor this fall.

The Laurel Park Place location — which will include collections for women, men, and children, as well as a separate “store within store” sections for accessories, lingerie, and sports apparel — is part of the retailer’s plans to expand throughout the region in 2015.

“Michigan is a strong and quickly growing market for H&M,” said Patrick Shaner, a spokesman for the global retailer, in an interview with DBusiness Daily News.

H&M currently has stores in Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor; Fairlane Town Center in Dearborn; Great Lakes Crossing Outlets in Auburn Hills; Lakeside Mall in Sterling Heights; Meridian Mall in Okemos; The Mall at Partridge Creek in Clinton Township; Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi; and Woodland Mall in Grand Rapids.
