A networking event for professionals in the health care, biotech, and pharmaceutical industries will be held in Troy next month.

“If you’re in health care, life science, medical device manufacturing, or mobile health care, this is a singular opportunity to connect with these important players at one time,” says L. Brooks Patterson, Oakland County executive.

The networking event is expected to draw more than 250 professionals, with employees from DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, the University of Michigan – Dearborn, and Auburn Hills-based Infection Prevention Technologies LLC as confirmed attendees, among others.

The event, put on by Medical Main Street, a collaboration of hospitals, universities, and health care and life science companies in southeast Michigan created by Patterson, will also include live entertainment and a strolling dinner.

Medical Main Street’s 2015 INNO-VATOR of the Year award will be awarded to a business or organization that has created a device, technology, or process that has a significant impact. The winner will receive $1,000 in cash, among other prizes.

The event, which will be held at Petruzzello’s Banquet Hall on Sept. 16, costs $75 to attend. For more information, contact Matt Mastay at mastaym@oakgov.com.
