Madison Heights-based Computing Source, a digital evidence and legal technology firm, has launched a court reporting division that will provide lawyers on-demand access to court reporters, allowing them to review and annotate their dispositions.

“Our mission from day one at Computing Source has been to build a seamless, sustainable, and all-inclusive model that offers a solution for every single need an attorney will have at every step of their case’s lifecycle,” says Mark St. Peter, CEO and managing director of Computing Source. “With the launch of our court reporting division, along with the opening of one of the Midwest’s largest secure data centers in our Madison Heights headquarters, I am proud to say our ‘all-in-one, A to Z’ vision is fully realized.”

St. Peter says the court reporting division will be incorporated into the existing video deposition service. He says clients will be able to book a deposition and receive their transcripts quickly. Clients will be able to access the video portion on their computer or tablet via a secure streaming software.

Erik Schwartz, the director of trial services at Computing Source, will lead the division, and will be responsible for launching the court reporting division in Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Chicago, as well as driving its day-to-day operations. He says he’s recruiting and hiring court reporters.

Computing Source, founded in 2001 in Southfield, now has offices in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Birmingham, and Indianapolis.
