Bon Bon Bon, a chocolate shop in Hamtramck known for its inventive flavors, will be opening a storefront in Detroit’s Chrysler House next week.

“We have a lot of clients downtown, so for us it’s kind of nice to be able to supply that amenity for pickups,” says Alexandra Clark, owner of Bon Bon Bon. “There’s also a booming business culture downtown — especially in the Chrysler House, so it will be fun to be a part of that.”

The 400-square-feet space within Suite 100 of the 23-story Chrysler House at Fort and Griswold streets will be open April 16 and will operate six days a week. Its current Hamtramck location on Evaline Street is primarily used for creating the wide range of chocolate treats and is only open one day a week with most sales done online. The store also hosts classes and events.

Clark and her team offer more than 60 varieties of chocolate, and each one of the 1.5 inch long candies are named for the flavors infused in the sweets, like Malt Caramel, Butter Cookie, Bacon & Eggs, Johnny Cashew, Coffee & Donuts, and Packzi — each $3.

In addition, Bon Bon Bon offers box of the month selections, apparel items, gift cards, and pins.

Bon Bon Bon takes special orders at 313-316-1430 or online at bonbonbon.com.
