Virgin Atlantic Airways and Delta Airlines are partnering to offer two daily direct flights from Detroit Metro Airport to London’s Heathrow Airport starting June 1.
“The Delta and Virgin Atlantic partnership brings increased customer choice on the transatlantic routes at London Heathrow,” says Perry Cantarutti, a Delta senior vice president.
From Detroit Metro Airport: one daily flight will depart at 5:50 p.m. and arrive in London at 6:25 a.m. the following day. Another flight departs Detroit at 10:14 p.m. and arrives in London at 11:05 a.m.
Flights from London depart at 10:10 a.m. and arrive in Detroit at 1:15 p.m., while the second flight leaves Heathrow at 2:25 p.m. and arrives in Detroit at 5:50 p.m. Flights will operate from Heathrow’s terminal four.
The two airlines will offer 39 transatlantic flights a day for the summer schedule between the United Kingdom and cities across North America, such as Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York.
